Simple flowers from plastic bottles. Flowers from plastic bottles: do it yourself

And then we looked at almost a dozen incredible flowers that you can make with your own hands.

However, this topic turned out to be so broad that today we can show you other options for plastic flowers. To begin with, I would like to give examples of a wide variety of flower options from plastic containers - from tiny decorations to huge artificial plants for the garden and plot. Watch, repeat, do it yourself!

To find out how such beauty is made, we had to wander quite a bit through the Internet. As a result, we have selected the most beautiful flowers and the most detailed instructions for you.

Here, look, for example, what a beautiful poppy from a plastic bottle was invented and implemented by a real craftswoman Nadezhda Shurygina.

Let's try to repeat her masterpiece?

We will need:

  • plastic kefir bottle;
  • green plastic bottle (for making stem and leaves);
  • scissors;
  • candle;
  • thick black thread and needle;
  • a small piece of wire;
  • a piece of gray fabric;
  • semolina;
  • glue.

From the main part of the bottle we cut out two identical circles (Fig. 1).

We make 3 cuts on each, not reaching the middle of the workpiece (Fig. 2). We round each petal, as shown in Fig. 3.

Cut out the base for the flower and the leaf from the green bottle. We cut the edges of the leaf into a narrow fringe (Fig. 4).

We color the future poppy petals with a red marker (Fig. 4). We heat and slightly deform each workpiece over a candle (Fig. 5).

Now we need to make a center for the poppy and stamen. For this purpose you will need a thread and a piece of fabric.

We make a ball out of fabric (you can put a small piece of foam rubber in the middle of the circle and pull it together) and pull it tightly with black thread so that the slices appear (Fig. 5). And for the stamens, we cut the thread into strips, tie it in the middle, dip all the edges in glue, and then in semolina to get white tips, like a real poppy (Fig. 5).

The stem can be made in the same way as we did for the rose, or you can buy it ready-made.

Assembly is carried out exactly the same as in the previous version. That's all - the poppy is ready!

Water lily from plastic bottles

But another inventor came up with such a very pretty lily. I suggest you make such a flower too.

For lilies we take:

  • 3 white opaque bottles;
  • 1 yellow opaque bottle;
  • 1 large bottle (5 liters) green;
  • scissors;
  • candle;
  • glue.

We make blanks such as in Fig. 1.

First of all, let's make the middle part of the lily. To do this, in the yellow blank with a neck we make 8 cuts for 8 petals. We round the edges of each (Fig. 2).

From another yellow piece we make the center for the lily. To do this, we cut the fringe (Fig. 3) and, heating the workpiece over the flame, twist it, simultaneously folding the edges into the middle (Fig. 4).

We also melt the edges of the first yellow part a little (Fig. 5). We insert the curly center into the hole in the yellow flower (Fig. 6).

We cut the white parts in the shape of petals, squeeze each petal a little in the center and place it one by one on the yellow center from below (Fig. 7).

Lightly straighten the lily petals and get a ready-made flower (Fig. 8).

During the work process, do not forget to fix all the parts with glue.

Finally, we cut off the bottom of the green bottle, melt its edge and plant our flower on top of it, like on a large leaf.

The water lily is ready!

How to make 2 flowers from a plastic bottle at once

This is not even one flower, but an example of how to make 2 flowers at once from one plastic bottle.

Materials:

  • 1 plastic bottle;
  • scissors;
  • varnish or paint for coloring petals.

We take the bottle and cut it into 3 parts, as you see in the fig. 2.

We will make the first flower from the top part.

We take the workpiece and cut it into strips - 3 narrow and 1 wide - and so on around the entire perimeter (Fig. 3–4). We cut the edges of the wide strips at an angle (Fig. 5).

We turn two of the narrow strips in each opening to the sides and twist them using scissors or a knife with teeth (Fig. 7–8).

We lightly process wide strips in the same way (Fig. 9–10).

We twist the remaining narrow strips in a vertical position, creating a curly center for the flower (Fig. 11).

We cover the petals with varnish (Fig. 12). The first flower is made!

For the second, take the bottom of the bottle and cut it so as to get 5 petals (Fig. 14).

We round the edges of each (Fig. 15). Paint the protruding part with varnish. That's all!

And if you want to get an even more voluminous flower, you can combine both of the above into one. It's very easy to do. In the second flower, make a hole in the middle, large enough to stick the neck of the bottle through, insert the base of the first flower there and screw on the cap.

Flower made from plastic bottles in a pot

How would you like such a miniature flower pot? Want to make one similar?

Let's prepare materials:

We cut out a part from transparent plastic, as in Fig. 1. Heat it over a candle (Fig. 2) and lightly wrap the edges (Fig. 3).

From white plastic we cut out the part shown in Fig. 4. Just like the previous one, holding it over a candle, slightly melt it (Fig. 5–6).

Drop transparent glue into the middle of the white blank and pour in some beads (Fig. 7).

We glue the finished white center in the same way to the center of the transparent workpiece (Fig. 8).

From green plastic we cut out parts for the stem (Fig. 9) and leaves (Fig. 10). Holding it over the candle, twist these parts, as shown in photos 9a and 10a.

We connect all the details of the flower (Fig. 11).

If you want to plant your flower in a pot, make it from thick colored paper or cardboard. Cut the strip and roll it into a roll of the desired diameter. Press it inward to create a cone. Do not press all the way in so that the base remains flat and not sharp. Lubricate the inside of the pot with glue, plant a flower there, and fill the remaining space with beads. That's all!

Decorate your home flowers from plastic bottles Anyone can do it, because a huge amount of raw material for such crafts accumulates in every household. Packages of milk, mineral water, and household chemicals are thrown away almost every day, but maybe everything will change when you see what beauty can be created using such semi-finished products. It is these examples of beautiful works and lessons on how to create them yourself that our article today will be devoted to.

DIY flowers from plastic bottles

The advantages of food-grade plastic, which you will need to work with on crafts of this kind, are its safety for our health, as well as strength and durability. Still DIY flowers from plastic bottles They will be a long-lasting decor, the colors will not fade or fade, the components will not be deformed, they will not tear or break. However, this very strength of the material can also be considered a disadvantage, because to work with them you will need not only to cut the plastic with fairly sharp scissors and a knife, but also to heat their edges over a fire to make the surface non-sharp. All this makes such work unsuitable for children's creativity, especially when it comes to young children who may cut themselves or get burned at some stage.

In addition, try to carry out all stages of work associated with heating the plastic, gluing it or hot forming it in an open space, because the substances that are released from it when heated will be harmful if inhaled. If possible, for example, if you are doing this, then it is best to carry out this work outdoors, where the concentration of harmful substances will be minimal. If after all flowers from plastic bottles for the garden you will be creating a house, it is best to open the window and check the room well after finishing work. In addition, hand gloves are also a safety issue, as when cutting, the plastic parts can be sharp enough to cut the skin, this is certainly not a fatal cut, but very unpleasant in any case.

Flowers from plastic bottles for beginners

Simple examples flowers from plastic bottles for beginners, which will be shown in this section, show us where to start mastering this technique. The most basic option, which is worth considering in more detail, is to paint the bottom of an ordinary transparent container so that it looks a little like a flower.

In the photo you can see one example of such a craft, which children will be happy to repeat. But, as we said above, it is best not to trust them with all the preparatory stages associated with the formation of the workpiece, but to involve them at the decorating stage. You need to take a small container and cut off the bottom evenly, as low as possible. We don’t need this extra plastic anyway; it should be left for others. We carefully cut out the petals with scissors and our workpiece is almost ready. Now, to extend the work, you will need colored plasticine and paints. Using plasticine, you need to form the center of the flower, rolling it into a ball and gluing it into the existing recess in the center. This is not only a decorative technique, but also a place for fixing fasteners - a wooden skewer, which will help us stick the finished flower anywhere, be it in a flower pot or in a beautiful vase. After the flower is already confidently standing on its wooden stem, you can paint its petals using gouache or acrylic paints. Other examples that you can see in the photo flowers from plastic bottles step by step for beginners, are carried out according to the same simple principle, but if you want to decorate them not only with paints, but also to give the petals a more natural shape, you will have to heat them with a lighter or a special burner.

Under the influence of high temperature, the plastic will begin to melt and deform, and by controlling this process and rotating the workpiece over the flame, you can achieve a very interesting appearance. Using exactly the same melting, you can not only shape the petals, but also connect the parts together.

As an illustration, the creation process is shown DIY flower from a plastic bottle step by step. You can see in the photo which part of the container will be used as a workpiece - for the lower tier we take the bottom, and for the upper tier we cut off a part from the neck. In this case, we take a small, half-liter container, so our finished flower will turn out more compact and neat. It is most convenient to cut out the upper part according to a template using an even piece of plastic. Please note that you need to heat both one and the second part, you just need to keep the lower one over the fire a little longer so that the petals take on a finished look. The color, which would make the finished bouquet even more beautiful, is applied using a brush and acrylic or other quick-drying paint; due to the fact that the material is transparent, you can paint only one side of it. It is advisable to choose contrasting, bright color combinations for both parts, the ones shown in the example, pink and blue, look great together.

Flowers from plastic bottles: photo

Diversity flowers from plastic bottles, photo which have been successfully proven, gives them application in a wide variety of home decor areas. As it turns out, they have no fewer options than those, and you shouldn’t just limit yourself to flower arrangements. For example, balcony flower boxes filled with colorful crafts look very elegant; in spring and winter, this will be an excellent alternative to living plants. In addition, crafts can be made not only for installation in a vase, but also for hanging compositions, for climbing vines, which also look quite attractive.

The tandem looks great, which is made on the basis of a flower and, moreover, both of these crafts are made at the same time, using one single container. The daisies that you can see in the illustration also look interesting. They differ from the classic version in that you need to cut much more petals, paint them strictly white, and in the middle either place a yellow plastic lid from a kinder egg, or make a plasticine plug. The stem is generally attached simply - a hole is made in the lid (preferably initially green or painted green), a piece of wire is inserted inside and fixed and bent. Now, when you screw the cap onto the thread of the neck, the stem will be firmly connected to the flower.

For most flowers from plastic bottles master-classes and lessons on making are quite simple. But if you want to advance your knowledge a little further, hone your technique and craftsmanship, then you can end up with the same magnificent products as in the photo above. Please note that here are the very elegant compositions and unusual jewelry that can even be used as accessories and jewelry, as well as works that can even be framed in a beautiful frame and hung on the wall, they look so artistic. It’s hard to even believe that these works are based on the same principle of recycling unnecessary plastic.

I would like to consider one example of jewelry in particular, because such a bracelet can be a successful addition to an image for a party or children's party. It is made using many flowers, each one is formed separately, and then collected into inflorescences, and then into a bouquet. To save time, you can take colored plastic, then you will skip the long process of coloring all the petals.

How to make flowers from plastic bottles

Let's look at a few simple options, how to make flowers from plastic bottles. For the first lesson we will need small ones; the plastic in them is softer, easier to cut and will be easier to paint with an aerosol can. Each needs to be cut in half and cut into equally sized petals. You can decide on your own whether to round the petals or leave them straight; both will look beautiful.

When the transparent blank begins to take on the shape of the finished flower, it must be covered with a layer of paint. As mentioned above, it will be most convenient to use an aerosol can, since in addition to speed of application, this will also give us an unusual appearance of the elements. Since you will then collect them all into a single bouquet (in our case, attach them to a hoop), it is better to paint them in different shades, but stick to the same color scheme. Let us add that it is most convenient to attach plastic using wire; for this, small holes are made in each element through which a piece of wire is pulled. This same technique, by the way, can be used for the task of decorating the top edge of any fence with such decor.

One more example DIY flowers from plastic bottles, master-the class with which is in front of you. In this case, as a result of your work, you get an excellent water lily, which can be used to decorate water compositions.

Flowers from plastic bottles master class

Our review of the wonderful flowers from plastic bottles master class, in which we can simultaneously make both a vase and the bouquet itself, and the thing turns out to be very functional and attractive in appearance. And all due to an unusual approach to decoration, because the plastic surface will need to not only be painted in the color we need, but also decorated with a pattern and fine perforations, which we will achieve if we use a regular blowtorch.

In the lesson flowers from plastic bottles step by step, which is posted above, all the main stages of forming a vase are considered. It consists of two main parts - the lower flower, the bottom, gives stability, and the upper part, twisted plastic, becomes an excellent vase, where you can even, if desired, pour water and place a living bouquet.

1. Crafts from plastic bottles can be very beautiful - you just need to use containers made of a certain type of plastic and try to make not primitive flowers, but elegant ones.

Flowers from plastic bottles - elegant fantasies

This is proven by designer Veronika Richterova, whom we have talked about more than once and presented her work as an example of high taste (strange as it may sound when we are talking about crafts from plastic bottles), and also in this.

The master has wonderful works, looking at which it is impossible to believe that they are made of bottle plastic. I want to look at them and look at them. And this is quite possible not only in the pictures, but also if you make such garden crafts with your own hands to decorate your own plot.

So, we take plastic containers not from water or other drinks, but from shampoo, gel, and other cosmetics or detergents.

It is advisable that bottles for elegant flowers should initially be the color you want. That is, so that crafts made from plastic bottles do not have to be painted, it is unlikely that you will get a better color than it was specified during production. In addition, you won’t have to worry about the paint being washed off in the rain or peeling off in the sun. Of course, any plastic on the street fades over time. But when it fades, then paint it. At the same time, update your flower bed. For the centers of flowers, you can use decorative caps from containers.

It’s good if you have curly scissors, the blades of which give a wavy edge. If you don’t have such scissors, you will have to try to cut out the “wave” with ordinary scissors. In principle, it's not that difficult.

In principle, the pictures show very well exactly how to make such flowers. Try not to cut small elements - then you will need to fasten them, and this is not always easy. If you want curved petals, hold the piece over the fire and shape it. But don’t bring it too close to the fire - the plastic melts and burns very quickly, almost instantly.

2. But, by the way, this property can be successfully used to make a flower stem. You can simply take a rigid metal wire or rod of small diameter and, wrapping strips of plastic (here you can use regular bottle plastic), melt it.

And flowers from plastic containers are so different! Let's try to make a beautiful flower with graceful petals. It will be fantasy: for some it will remind one of cosmos, for others of daylily, for others of heliopsis, zinnia, Christmas star, etc.

Materials for 1 garden craft - flower

  • plastic bottle - capacity 1 l. Please note that the best bottle options for these colors are those with smooth necks. Basically, these are bottles of mineral water;
  • ball made of polystyrene foam, polystyrene foam, plastic, wood, etc. - diameter 25 - 40 mm;
  • flexible metal wire;
  • wire for the flower stem;
  • paints.
  • scissors, brush.

Flowers from plastic bottles - step by step tutorial

We use a plastic bottle, well washed and dried.

Cut the bottle in half crosswise. We try to make the cut as even as possible - this determines whether the flower petals will be the same in length. If you are making a flower with children, they may need help cutting the plastic.

Cut the plastic bottle into five or more pieces. Here we also try to cut, maintaining an even distance between the stripes - the future petals of the flower.

We take each strip with our fingers and bend it outward from the neck.

Cut out petals of the desired shape from the strips. Here they are so graceful and pointed.

It's time to paint the flower blank. Cover the table tightly with a layer of paper or old oilcloth, prepare paints and brushes.

If we buy paint specifically for painting plastic crafts, choose a glossy one - it gives a beautiful shine.

To enhance the effect, you can add glitter to the paint - special glitter. By the way, such glosses are found not only in nail polish - they are introduced into interior paints and varnishes. You can buy it in construction stores or in shops that are so loved by handicraft masters.

We make the background color of the flower with the main color (in this case, red). The plastic is transparent, you can paint the workpiece on one side, but it is better to paint both - this way the flower will look more elegant.

After the petals have dried, we draw the details with a different color of paint - we paint the tips, and put neat dots on some petals. To make it easier to draw a clear, even point, we do this not with a brush, but with the tip of a toothpick, knitting needle, kebab stick, etc.

We paint a small ball of polystyrene foam or other material - it will be the convex center of the flower.

We attach the ball to the center of the workpiece - screw it with wire, making holes with an awl, or glue it with glue for external use. For example, very good in this regard

The stem for the flower can be made from wire, painted green. Or you can buy special stems for artificial flowers in a store that sells products for florists. They are often available in wire form (called gerbera) - you can make stems of any height.

Large flowers made from plastic bottles are not uncommon, but try to “grow” huge flowers from this material and you will see how your garden has changed thanks to them.

Huge flowers look fabulous and bring magic to the world around them.

Materials for huge magical flowers

For one such flower you will need:

10-12 plastic bottles with a capacity of 2 liters or 3-4 plastic bottles of water with a capacity of 3-6 liters;

  • A rim from the wheel of an old bicycle, maybe a teenager's or a child's. If there is no wheel rim, you can take a children's gymnastics hoop, and instead of knitting needles, tightly wrap wire or rope;
  • durable metal rod (reinforcement) or wheel fork;
  • thin flexible hose;
  • paint - color depending on the color of the flower, as well as green;
  • wire - for fastening. But if you have a construction stapler, this will make the job much easier.

Plastic bottles or bottles are prepared - clean and dry. Working with them is basically the same, you just get more petals from 1 bottle.

Cut off the necks and bottoms of the bottles/bottles.

We cut out large, simply huge flower petals - to the entire height of the containers.

Let's start coloring the petals. We choose the color as desired, paint that matches the look. The paints that are most often used for other plastic crafts are described here in great detail.

You shouldn’t paint the entire petal with one paint - if you make it two-color, with veins and spots, it will look more vibrant. We use one light paint, the second one is darker. You can use three colors in one product, but no more, otherwise it will be too “variegated”.

You can paint the petals on one side (the plastic is almost transparent), or on both sides.

How to attach flower petals to a base

First we make the middle of the flower. To do this, cut out a circle from plywood or use the bottom of a plastic bottle. We paint the middle in the color we need. Attach to the knitting needles in the center.

We begin to attach the petals one by one to the middle. For reliability, we also attach each petal to a knitting needle or rim.

When all the petals are in place, we mask the fastenings in the middle with thinly cut strips from a plastic bottle. By the way, the voluminous center of the flower is very beautiful.

How to make a flower stem

If there is a wheel fork, turn it into a “stem” (paint it green. If there is no fork, put a rubber/plastic hose on the reinforcing rod, paint it green and also get a stem. However, you will have to tinker with attaching the head to such a stem flower.You can make a bolted fastening or securely wind the parts with metal wire.

Huge magical flowers made from plastic bottles look great both in groups and individually. We sit them down and admire our work.

Crafts made from plastic bottles are multifaceted in terms of themes: figurines of animals, insects, and people are created from this material.

If you are going to connect the layers to the petals with wire, you will have to make holes in the plastic. You can do this instantly with a hot nail or awl. To prevent the fastening from spoiling the appearance of crafts made from plastic bottles, make holes in those places that will subsequently be covered with the next layer.

It is very easy to staple the layers together, but you will need a stapler to do this. By the way, this is a very useful household item - it holds together almost any materials.

We make the middle of the flower - to do this you need to find and attach a suitable lid to the center of the craft or use some kind of ball (tennis ball, for example), cutting it in half.

It is not difficult to attach such flowers from plastic bottles to the surface - you can simply nail them or use wire.

Plastic bottles, which are most often used to create crafts for the garden, are a convenient material in terms of cutting, durability, etc. But often the flowers from it turn out to be “flimsy”, with thin petals that scream: “We are made of plastic!”

Dense, evenly colored petals

In many cases, even coloring does not help. It’s especially offensive when you make flowers from plastic bottles: beauty seems to be implied, but, frankly, it’s not there. What to do?

You can do like designer Laura Karnitz, who creates amazing crafts for the garden and interior from PET bottles with denser plastic, namely bottles for shampoos, cosmetics and household products, milk, etc.

Another good thing about these bottles is that the plastic is already painted, and the colors are very beautiful. That is, all that remains is to work with scissors, then fasten the parts, and the craft for the garden is ready.

How to make lush flowers from plastic bottles

There are many techniques for creating plastic flowers for the garden, but there are some that allow you to make very lush heads. Here is one of them, very simple, by the way.

  1. Cut fairly wide strips (4-5-7 cm) from round plastic bottles.
  2. Cut out rather steep “waves” from one edge of the strips - these will be petals.
  3. Pass the petals over the fire. There is no need to “melt” the plastic too much; you just need to warm it up a little so that the petals can be bent in the desired direction.
  4. Now collect the strips in a “stack”, forming a flower head. More stripes - a more magnificent flower.
  5. Fastening - using a hot awl and wire. In principle, it will not be visible among the petals.
  6. Flower centers can be made using corks.

Lilies from plastic bottles

Wonderful flowers from plastic bottles are obtained not only from round containers. For example, you can make a mesmerizing lily from an ordinary flat shampoo bottle. And you won’t have to bend the petals to give them shape: you will only need to cut off the corners of the bottle - the bend is already there. If the result is not satisfactory, you can always correct the details of the flower over the fire.

Flowers from plastic bottles: Lotuses 2 options

There are two options for creating lotuses from plastic bottles: one is easier, the other is more difficult.

Lotuses made from plastic bottles - looks interesting

And, as often happens, a more complex option also gives a more interesting effect: flowers from plastic bottles - delicate lotuses - turn out lush and “full”.

Although the simple option is interesting, especially if there are a lot of flowers.

As for the material, it is better to use plastic bottles with dense, light-colored plastic - for example, milk bottles or bottles for shampoos and other cosmetic products.

Lotuses with petals in several tiers

In general, the task of creating such flowers from plastic bottles is not particularly difficult. The only thing is that you will need a strong fastening so that the lotus does not fall apart into its components (petals). If you are going to decorate some small container with these flowers and you know for sure that you will be moving them, except occasionally, you can fasten the petals into a flower with glue (hot glue, for example, or some kind of “thermonuclear” construction glue).

Such containers, which are essentially mini-ponds, are sometimes made to decorate verandas, terraces, patios, etc.

But if you do everything “for real,” spend a little time, make a hole at the base of each petal (with a hot nail) and tightly connect the petals into a flower with wire (it won’t be visible anyway).

Here's how to make the middle.

Lotuses with petals in one tier

Making these flowers from plastic bottles is as easy as shelling pears. Cut off the top of the bottle and make petals along the edge of the cut. The flower stand is also the top part of the bottle, but larger. We insert the flower with the petals with the neck into the neck of the stand, with the center inside, with the help of which the lotus will be tightly secured in the stand.

These simple flowers make wonderful borders for small flower beds.

In both cases, we paint the petals with acrylic paint (easier than aerosol, “spray can”). The color can be white or pink (like most lotuses), although if you paint it yellow and decorate a decorative pond in your garden, you will get wonderful water lily nymphs (which, in fact, are the same lotuses, but not so “glorified”).

Recently, lawns and adjacent areas in the city have been decorated with plastic crafts. When the snow just melts and buds appear on the trees, flowers from plastic bottles are already adorning the lawns. We will consider a master class on field, indoor and garden plants from this material in the article.

Basic rules when working with plastic bottles

It is better for adults or older children to work with plastic under the supervision of a mentor. The fact is that in this creativity you have to work with sharp tools (scissors, awl, knife, cutter), aerosol paints, fire, which can lead to injuries if you are not careful.

The technique for making flowers is simple: draw a template and transfer it to a plastic base. Next, cut out the leaves, petals or finished flower. Poke a hole in the middle of the flower blanks with an awl or soldering iron and give them the shape of petals using fire. First, scorch the edges, then create a bend on the underside of the petal under the flame in much the same way as when creating flowers from satin ribbons. Use tweezers when performing this procedure.

You can make flowers from a plastic bottle from the top. In this case, a hole is pierced in the lid itself, which fixes the position of the stamens and pistils. The leaves are attached using fire or green tape. The stem can also be wrapped in melted plastic or electrical tape. To make the plants look like real ones, it is advisable to paint them with rain-resistant alkyd aerosol or acrylic paints.

Decorations for wicker fences and trees

Various fences for flower beds are woven from branches. Various flowers are attached to the interweaving of branches for beauty. Trees are also decorated with flowers and other plastic crafts using rope or wire, without deforming the trunks.

Let's look at how to make small five-petal flowers from plastic bottles. The master class is very simple.

  • Draw a five-petal flower on paper.
  • Use a marker to transfer this template onto the bottle.
  • Cut out the blanks.
  • Use your hands to bend the petals to the sides.
  • Flame all the edges of the flower to make the cuts smooth.
  • Then run the flame under the petals to give them a bend or angle.
  • Try the blanks on each other.
  • Determine the middle of the flowers and pierce with an awl in two places.
  • Connect the blanks using a wire, onto which thread two or three beads.
  • Twist the wire from the wrong side and cut off the excess ends.
  • Now the flowers can be attached to the fence. If you don’t want to make holes, then the first blanks can be made from the top of the bottles, where the fastening goes through the lid.

Roses for outdoors and indoors

To make roses you need to draw templates of different sizes. The more elements, the more magnificent the flowers from a plastic bottle (the photo of roses confirms that multi-layering is created due to petals of different sizes).

Draw seven patterns of rectangles and squares on paper (these will be the elements for one rose). Within their borders, display a flower of four petals, the edges of which have a concave cut. Now transfer the rectangular and square blanks to the bottle. Cut them out using flower patterns.

Using an awl, make a hole in the middle of the rose. Now scorch all the flowers over the candle, lifting the petals up. Remember that melted plastic can cause severe burns, so use tweezers.

Forming roses

Wrap a thick wire with a plastic strip, which you melt over a flame. Leave one edge of the wire for the flowers and sepals (you will put them on in descending order). The middle of the rose can be decorated with a bead and secured with wire. Or cut a small circle from a bottle, cut it into strips, scorch it over a fire to form stamens, and attach it to the middle of the flower.

Next, cut out a template of leaves on a 3-petiole stem from the green bottle. Burn the workpiece over a candle. Twist the petioles of the leaves under the flame and attach the leaf to the base of the rose stem by wrapping the melted plastic edge around it. Using this pattern, make yourself a whole bouquet.

Flowers made from plastic bottles will be more realistic if they are tinted with paints. For example, veins or dark parts can be drawn in leaves; in the petals, enhance the color or add an additional shade. To simplify the work, you can wrap the stems with green electrical tape to match the color of the leaves.

Outlandish flowers from plastic bottles

The master class is a very interesting way to convey experience, as it shows how to make real flowers out of plastic.

  • Cut off the top and cap from seven transparent plastic bottles.
  • Cut 6 strips, form petals and singe them over the flame. In this case, first bend each petal. Then scorch along the edges and again go through the middle of the petal.

  • Paint the blanks with red spray paints.
  • Once the surface of the petals is dry, apply yellow paint to the middle of the flowers.
  • In the lid of each flower, use an awl and scissors to make a hole of such a diameter that the pistil and stamens, which will be made of beads, can fit through.
  • Paint it green (this will be the sepal).
  • For the pistil, string a large bead onto a wire, which will be its stigma, and twist the ends of the wire. Only then dial 22 pcs. green beads.
  • Make the stamens in the same way from glass beads and 19 pcs. blue beads

For one flower you need to collect the pistil and 6 stamens into a bouquet, wrap them with thread and insert them into the lid with glue.

Collecting flowers in a bouquet

Our flowers look like clivias, so look at their location on the stem in any photo. You need to make seven flowers from plastic bottles for one plant. While the stamens are drying, make 8 large leaves, four medium and four small oval leaves from a green bottle.

Treat each petal over the flame and straighten it a little. Make a hole at the base of the leaf and attach the wire. Now for the stem, take a meter thick wire or cable and begin to place the flowers in the desired position: one flower on top, then, after 20 centimeters, 3 flowers, and after the same distance - 3 flowers, which look in different directions, since their stems bent 90 degrees.

Then, after 10 centimeters, leaves are attached in 2-3 pieces, starting and ending with the smallest ones. That is, the arrangement will be as follows: two small, four rows of large leaves, two rows of medium and two small leaves. The stems are secured with green electrical tape. Such flowers can be installed in a flower bed.

Palm trees - interesting crafts from plastic bottles

Flowers are often made from transparent bottles, but what should you do with brown containers? Let's make a palm tree out of them! We will need brown and green bottles. For the palm tree trunk, dig a cable into the ground, which must withstand strong winds. Brown bottles will need to be cut with 8 pointed teeth on one edge. If you leave the bottom, then make a hole in it, but if you use the top of the bottle, then unscrew the cap.

You put tooth-shaped brown blanks on the cable, and spread the leaves to the sides with your hands or using a flame, creating the effect of tree bark. Once the palm tree has reached the desired length, attach the leaves that you make from green containers.

For foliage, the bottom of the bottles is cut off and long strips are cut to the top. Lids are not needed in this case. Next, leaves of the required length are put on the cable and attached to the trunk of the palm tree. The more branches you make, the more magnificent the tree will be, but then take a thick cable.

Yellow elegant flowers

Let's look at how to make elegant flowers from plastic bottles. The master class is as follows.

  • Cut off the top and bottom of transparent bottles.
  • Next, draw ordinary petals on them, similar to a rose: narrow at the base and with wide edges.
  • You scorch each petal over a candle.

  • From a transparent or green bottle, cut out individual leaves without petioles and sepals with 10 teeth, which you also melt over the flame.
  • Paint the blanks with acrylic paints: the petals are yellow, the edges are red, the leaves and sepals are green.
  • Make two holes in the leaves so that you can attach them to the stem.
  • Now cut in half.
  • Paint it green and the bottom.
  • Make a cut in the middle to insert a petal, which you twist into a bud using fire.
  • Insert the remaining petals with the tip, creating one or another tilt if necessary.
  • Once the flower is collected, turn it over.
  • Insert a kebab stick painted green into it.
  • String a sepal and a leaf on it.

Create a whole bouquet using this pattern.

climbing flowers

Now let's look at the master class. Prepare plastic bottles (transparent flowers, green leaves) according to the standard scheme, cutting off the tops and bottoms. For leaves, cut the bottle in a spiral 10 centimeters wide. Draw leaves on a long branch on it, cut it out and melt it over a candle, twisting the petioles in some places.

Then you make templates of two colors with five petals: large and small. You also burn it with a candle and paint it with paints. Make holes in the middle of the flowers and connect the two templates with wire, taking several beads for the stamens.

The next step is to poke holes in the leaves in the right places on the vine and attach the prepared flowers, cutting off the excess ends and hiding the wire in the foliage. Next, combine all the curly branches into one bundle, fasten them and hang them on a nail or in a flower pot.

As you can see, you can make a wide variety of flowers for the garden and home from plastic bottles. And naturalness and naturalness can be given to them with the help of paints.

For people with imagination and skillful hands, it will not be difficult to turn unnecessary things into real masterpieces. Masters and beginners alike use crafts made from plastic bottles for the interior, as garden decor and in the form of practical furniture. Colored plastic bottle caps are an excellent material for mosaic panels on walls and fences. The best ideas with detailed instructions and photos can be easily implemented at the dacha, turning a bare area into a “clearing of fairy tales”, and filling the house with useful little things.

Important advantages of crafts made from plastic containers

A well-made souvenir or trinket will eventually develop into a hobby, if there are no limits to your imagination. Summer residents who have moved from simple fences on wire to buildings that delight in scale never cease to amaze.

From available material that many throw away, someone builds:

  • greenhouse;
  • carport;
  • summer shower or bath;
  • country toilet or shed;
  • summer gazebo or sun canopy;
  • a mansion for children or a playground;
  • sandbox with decorative sides;
  • various temporary buildings on the site.

The main advantage of such structures is the available material. When the elements are securely fastened, the walls of the building are aesthetically pleasing and completely reliable. It all depends on the way the plastic bottles are connected. If you approach the matter thoroughly, the desired result will impress even experienced builders.

Over time, plastic becomes a real environmental disaster - it is difficult to recycle. But once you involve everyone who cares in cleaning the area, there will be a whole mountain of empty PET bottles for building a greenhouse, cascading flower bed or vertical gardening. The only drawback is that it takes a long time to collect identical containers, since containers are produced in different colors and volumes.

Some manage to collect enough craft material in one season, while others involve neighbors and friends in collecting plastic. Someone decides to clear the area for picnics in order to improve the environment on the way to the dacha and collect material. As a result, the plastic bottles are in use and the area is clean.

Another advantage is that plastic containers are soft and pliable, they are easy to cut and do not require complex tools. With little skill, the material itself “dictates” ideas.

To create an original decoration you need:

  • interesting idea;
  • ready-made role model (illustration);
  • material for crafts with tools;
  • step-by-step training plan guide.

In the hands of a true master, plastic bottles take on a second life, becoming functional objects. It is better to make souvenirs on a seasonal basis. For example, New Year's toys are made in the winter, practical country houses are made in the summer, and in spring and autumn it remains to build a “clearing of fairy tales” near the house for children.

Recycling plastic containers is a fun activity for the family. It is easy to attract children to him by entrusting him with a simple part of the work. Don’t forget to remind them that you’re not just making a firebird or “Chunga-Changa island” with palm trees from bottles, but that you care about the environment. You can involve a yard or a school classroom in beautifying the area.

Furniture and interior items made from plastic bottles

Furniture made from plastic bottles looks like a masterpiece that is not accessible to everyone. They will require a lot of plastic containers of the same type. Sofas and poufs impress with their design and comfort, not inferior to real furniture. There is nothing complicated if the sofa is made in blocks - seat, back, sides. If the container is not enough, the sofa blocks can be made one at a time. It’s better when you collect bottles from one drink, for example, two-liter kvass or lemonade.

The principle of “assembling” furniture from bottles is simple - they are placed in layers and tightly wrapped with tape. To make the furniture softer and more springy, a little air is released from each bottle and twisted tightly. At the place where the cap is, cut out a cap from another bottle and tape it with tape. It turns out to be a block with a bottom on both sides - this is the basis of the furniture.

Then it all depends on your imagination, the type of furniture and the number of bottles available. We wrapped 7 containers of the same volume with tape to create the base for an ottoman. What its appearance and style will be depends on the master. For a soft seat, you will need a round pillow or a block of foam rubber that fits the size of the top. The cover is cut to the size of the ottoman in the form of a cylinder, and it is convenient to insert a zipper along the side seams, but it is easier to sew the upholstery tightly.

If there is not enough furniture for the summer, an ottoman for the cottage is made from an old wadded blanket and a baby pillow, wrapped in a block of bottles. Old curtains or a bedspread will be used for the lining. If the pouf should have a presentable appearance, choose newer and more expensive fabric or eco-leather.

To build a coffee table you will need 4 racks of plastic bottles and a plywood board as a table top, which can be hidden with a long tablecloth. In a similar way, they make a convenient stand for a laptop or an external table for the garden. For large furniture (sofa, chaise lounge or chair) made from plastic bottles, you will need a lot of patience and raw material.

Useful little things for the home from plastic bottles

Flowers and vases

Decorating a schoolchild's bedroom or children's room with crafts from plastic containers is not difficult. You can build a whole bouquet of artificial flowers. Place the resulting chrysanthemums, daisies or roses in a vase made of the same material, adding diode bulbs on an insulated wire to the centers. This is what a night light of extraordinary beauty will look like, where the faint light shimmers in the plastic petals.

Advice: To give the leaves a special shape, use heating the blanks and folding the corners with tongs!

To place a homemade bouquet you will need a suitable vessel; simply cutting off part of the bottle is not aesthetically pleasing. The edges of the cut are marked with a ruler to make the cut, securing the result by heating the bends. A small transparent bottle is cut off to the very top, and about half of a large container is cut off. We choose a material with a ribbed or “waist” in the middle to create an interesting base.

Then we do it as our imagination allows, but we bend the edges beautifully. The fringed cut is obtained from vertical or diagonal cuts in the plastic base. The resulting strips are evenly folded to the outside.

Note! It is important that all the notches and the depth of the slot are absolutely identical, then the entire product will come out neat.

Depending on which edge is desired, the strips of the vase (the edges of any other product) are secured in different ways:

  • curly bend;
  • staplers;
  • fusing;
  • gluing with transparent polymers.

Flowerpots, flower pots and containers for seedlings

Colored plastic containers in the form of bottles and bottles of different sizes are suitable as containers for growing living plants. It is very easy to make a fragrant balcony from 3-liter tanks - a cascade of hanging petunias. Fragrant flowers hanging from cut containers will help make your dream of a beautiful piece of paradise come true.

Large bottles and tanks cut in half are hung with both the bottom down and the lid. It is recommended to place large pebbles at the bottom for drainage. Excess water after watering will go to the plants in the lower rows. In the same containers, plants are grown without soil - hydroponic method with the addition of fertilizers. Fresh greens and seedlings (in urban and country conditions) are also germinated in prepared plastic bottles.

Advice: Use the compact form and ability to hang containers for vertical gardening with automatic watering. In the absence of the owners, watering cans with water immersed in the ground will cope with moistening the plants.

Traps and feeders

Using plastic bottles you can repel pests or attract birds to your site. To do this, the tank is used as a feeder, and traps made of bottles with chemicals are placed at the roots of fruit trees. From double plastic containers, craftsmen build traps for wasps, where they fly into sweet water and cannot get back out.

Equipment for a summer cottage

At the dacha, it’s easy to whip up crafts from plastic bottles in the form of an impromptu washbasin by hanging a full bottle upside down. Just unscrew the lid a little and a small stream of water will help you wash your face and hands. It is also worth making a bench and organizing lighting with beautiful owls or plastic gnomes. Any garden decor for inspiration - with interesting illustrations.

Multifunctional items for the home

Make an original cosmetic bag from 2 bottoms of plastic bottles, sewing the edges together with a zipper. This box can be used as a multifunctional item - a piggy bank, a case for large beads, hairpins or jewelry.

It is convenient to knit from such a ball, suspended somewhere nearby, by pulling the thread from the ball inserted inside. It’s easier to find nail polish or a lipstick collection in a makeshift zippered box.

New Year's decor

Bright New Year's balls, garlands or toys made from plastic bottles are a worthy use for transparent containers. One bottle, cut into round strips, will produce a transparent ball. After securing the sphere with a stapler, decorate it in any way:

  • “rain” winding;
  • pasting with crushed polystyrene foam (snow);
  • decoration with sequins, beads and stones.

New Year's decor made from white plastic bottles with a waist is suitable for snowmen or penguins. You can use black nail polish to draw eyes and other elements, cotton wool (snowball), glitter, small buttons, beads and whatever is at hand. Funny caps for characters - from colored socks without a pair, strips of knitwear are used as a scarf.

Advice: From homemade winter characters, a candle, ready-made tinsel and a couple of pine branches with cones, create an original New Year's composition so as not to buy a Christmas tree.

Curtains made of colored plastic caps and bottles

Zoning space is a popular design technique, where a hand-made translucent curtain is often used. An original curtain can decorate any living space, cottage or covered terrace. Original hanging partitions made from unusual materials are widely used in the interior.

Plastic is in demand in modern decor, including bottles and bottle caps. There are options for curtains:

  • from scraps of the bottom of small containers - strips on a thick fishing line, swaying with the movement of air;
  • from colored lids - a fantasy panel of tightly strung elements;
  • a garland of plastic and lights to give the LED curtain more aesthetics.

Original all-season flower beds

The summer season is passing, and living flower beds are being replaced by homemade plastic flowers that are no less beautiful than real ones. Their advantage is the ability to decorate the territory at any time. These flower beds pale in comparison to living plants, but in early spring and late autumn they alone attract admiring glances.

For daisies you will need small plastic containers of white (petals), yellow (centers) and green (leaves). You will also need an awl and a candle (for heating), “liquid nails,” scissors and stiff wire in green insulation.

We cut the base of the white bottle to the center, marking 16 segments - these are the petals. We bend the neat edges over the candle flame, and also make 2-3 chamomile corollas, which we connect in the center with an awl. Here the stem with leaves is fixed on a green wire, closing with the middle. We fill the center of the flower with a yellow basket with small cuts from 2 finely dissected circles with a fringe bent over the candle. We supplement the flower with green sepals from the bottom, collect all the parts and fix them together.

From the remaining pieces of green plastic, cut out leaves with a hole at the base (for stringing) and give them the desired shape, heating them over a candle flame. We attach the leaves to the wire handle; they should bend around it slightly. All that remains is for the chamomile to make several “companions” and find a worthy place for the bouquet.

Using samples and imagination, it’s easy to make plastic lilies of the valley, roses, chrysanthemums or tulips. To do this, you need plastic of a suitable color, from which several layers of petals are made to achieve a resemblance to real flowers.

All-season flower beds include mosaic compositions made from containers filled with earth. The lids are used to make wall panels. “Butterfly” or “ladybug” - in different versions.

Crafts from plastic bottles for the playground

An incredibly beautiful bird with plastic plumage – a whole “clearing of fairy tales”. These are the peacock or firebird, swans, pigeons, bullfinches and parrots. All of them are made from empty PET bottles according to the general principle:

  1. Design an aesthetic bird's head with eyes and beak;
  2. Construct the torso and neck;
  3. String plastic plumage;
  4. Provide with wings and tail;
  5. Place on paws or secure to selected surface.

Plastic swans can be fenced off by a blue “lake” of upside down plastic bottles. Outlandish birds will decorate the trees in the corner of the garden, which is reserved for children's games. You can choose a themed decor, for example, a desert island with palm trees and parrots.

Plastic animals, birds and insects, familiar to our latitudes, as well as favorite fairy-tale characters, are supplemented with other materials. Tires, wood and empty containers that can be easily painted will be used.

How to make decorations from plastic bottles for the cottage and garden

Original garden decor made from scrap material is another way to give the site some personality while the young plants come into their own. From green plastic bottles it is easy to make funny little frogs on the edge of the pond, watching dragonflies and butterflies from the same material.

Palm trees are a popular garden decoration, consisting of trunks (up to 15 brown bottles) and palm leaves (green plastic 5-10 pieces). This is a simple process that even children willingly participate in.

Prepared brown cups with notches are strung on a thick steel rod (bamboo fishing rod), after first piercing the base. It is better to use brown containers (1.5-2 l) entirely, cutting them in half, then you only have to punch through the bottom.

We leave the green bottles without a bottom and neck, with the exception of the last one with a neck, which will be needed as a loop. We cut these containers lengthwise into 3 parts up to the loop and dissect them like leaves. If longer leaves are required, staple the second half of the leaf. All parts of the stem are strung on the base and attached to the top, connecting with a common loop. All that remains is to reliably install “exotic guests” with a lush crown on the site.

The material is collected throughout the year, but it’s easier to involve neighbors and acquaintances in the “ecological” cleaning project. There are special containers for plastic in the yards - it’s much easier to collect.

Preparation for work - removing labels and glue residues from plastic bottles; it is important to rinse well and discard the deformed material.

If vertical fences are built, they need to be filled. Depending on the idea, sand, stone chips or dry soil are poured into PET bottles, burying them 1/3 of the way down.

For selected purposes, plastics of varying elasticity are used. Heat treatment is required for filigree work (flowers). It is important not to overheat the fragments cut into strips.

Fairy-tale characters sometimes require additional painting. For example, it is better to cover pink piglets for a playground with an aerosol from a spray can and secure them with transparent acrylic paint.

Plastic bottles are an excellent material in the right hands. Using them as a basis, it’s easy to teach children a lesson in environmental education and fill your home or garden with practical things. With a creative approach, the color, volume and shape of plastic bottles themselves will prompt new ideas for an exciting creative process.
