ELC series controllers can be supplied as part of ML-450 electromagnetic locks.

BRIEF OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
ELC SERIES CONTROLLERS

1. PROGRAMMING THE “MASTER KEY”

c) Turn on the power;
d) Wait for 4 beeps, remove the jumper;
e) Place the key on the contact device - you will hear 3 beeps;
The “master key” is programmed and the device switches to the subscriber key programming mode.
2. PROGRAMMING SUBSCRIBER KEYS
a) Apply the “Master Key” to the contact device - you will hear 3 beeps;
b) Applying the keys to the contact device one by one, enter them into the memory of the ELC series controller. Each key entry is accompanied by one sound signal. If the key is faulty or is already in memory, the signal will not follow.
c) Exit from the subscriber key programming mode is carried out by pressing the button. In this case, the device counts the duration of holding the button pressed in increments of 0.5 seconds. The calculated duration of memorization is used in the future as the duration of opening the lock.
3. PROGRAMMING THE LOCK OPENING DURATION
a) Apply the “Master Key” to the contact device - you will hear 3 beeps;
b) Press the exit button. In this case, the device will calculate the duration of holding the button pressed with an accuracy of 0.5 seconds. The calculated duration is remembered and used later as the duration of opening the lock.
4. CLEARING KEY MEMORY
a) Turn off the power to the device;
b) Close the jumper on the printed circuit board;
c) Turn on the power;
d) Wait for 4 beeps; Then there will be a ten-second pause and the sound signal will turn on again;
e) Within 3 seconds after the sound signal starts, remove the jumper;
f) After waiting for the sound signal to stop, install the jumper again;
g) After a pause (at this time the memory is being cleared), the program will restart. In this case, since the jumper remains installed, the device will enter the “Master Key” programming mode, and you will hear 4 signals (see step 1). You can program the “Master Key” or power cycle the ELC Series controller if the “Master Key” remains the same.
Note:
The “master key” is retained when the memory is cleared;
If after clearing the memory (step 4, g) you hear a long (3 seconds) beep, this indicates a malfunction of the memory chip. Repeat cleaning. If the result is negative, replace the 24C16 chip;
If within 3 seconds after the start of the sound signal the jumper is not removed (section 4, e), the ELC series controller will go into test mode - cyclically turning on / off the electromagnetic lock with a period of 6 seconds (3 seconds the lock is on, 3 seconds - switched off);
If, after the sound signal stops (section 4, f), the jumper is not installed again, the device will go into normal operation without clearing the memory.
