Have you listened to the poem, what do you think we will talk about today?(Correct about indoor plants).

Motivation : Tell me, please, is it possible to imagine a modern person’s home without a single indoor plant? (No).

How can we explain this fact?( You are right: the environmental situation is deteriorating, and the lack of human communication with nature forces people to create green corners at home and at work, which indicates the relevance of this issue).

What you need to know about indoor plants? ( Rules for caring for indoor plants).

Try to formulate the topic of our lesson . ( HOUSE PLANTS IN THE INTERIOR).

It is impossible to imagine people's lives without indoor plants. They constantly accompany us and delight the eye with green leaves, beautiful flowers and a pleasant aroma.

Try to determine the purpose of the lesson. What should we learn in class? ( Get acquainted with the role of indoor plants in human life, with ways of placing them in the interior).

4. Studying new material – 10 min. Flowers are an element of apartment decoration that follows the rules of phytodesign.Phytodesign (from Greekphyto – “plant” and Englishdesign - “project, plan”) is the art of interior design, creating a composition using plants. Their charm and beauty are perceived in conjunction with the interior. There are four main methods for placing indoor plants: single plants, a composition of potted plants, an indoor garden, and a terrarium.

Single plants (Fig. 6) can be flowering or evergreen. The plant is placed separately on the floor, windowsill or on a special stand in a pot, or decorative plants can be miniature (cyclamen, begonia) or large (ficus, palm). Various types of vines, growing, form a green corner. Single plants with a variety of variegated leaves are most effective against a plain wall.

Forcompositions of potted plants (Fig. 7) flower pots are placed close to each other to form a large green spot. Plants can be placed on the floor, shelves, or stands. Usually a tall plant with large leaves is placed in the background, and lower ones near it. To create particularly expressive compositions, use various stands and decorative flowerpots.

A container with plants planted in the ground or in separate pots and covered with moss and pebbles formsindoor garden (Fig. 8). It can be miniature and placed on a table, window, or form a large composition. Occupying a corner of a room or part of a room (winter garden). One of the options for an indoor garden is hanging gardens. They are made from baskets suspended from the ceiling or from wall brackets on rope, decorative chains, etc.

An excellent decorative element of any interior isterrarium (Fig. 9). This is a flower arrangement created inside a plastic or glass container, such as an aquarium, with a removable lid.

When placing plants, their decorative value and originality should be taken into account.

The best way to place climbing plants in a room is to plant them in a container (or planter) suspended from the ceiling or on a bracket against the wall. Then nothing will interfere with the cascading stems. In this case, the plant can visually increase the height of the composition and enliven a boring plain wall.

A large single plant is placed on the floor (see Fig. 6). For this location, choose plants with an attractive crown shape, tall flowering plants or tall vines with large leaves (monstera). Tall narrow plants visually raise the ceilings, while low, spreading ones lower them.

On the windowsill in the middle of the window, a single plant will look more effective - low and bushy, and on the edge - tall and narrow.

By the windows, flowers can be placed on tables of various types, slides and other devices. Artistically decorated flower tables are called jardinieres.

Decorative flowering plants (to enliven a smooth, light wall) and vines (to decorate windows and paintings) are usually placed on the walls.

A certain arrangement of plants not only visually changes the space of the room, but also allows you to divide the room into separate zones and organize a relaxation area in the form of a small winter garden. Light openwork wooden or metal racks, trellises, glass shelves, etc. are suitable for this.

In order for plants to retain their decorative qualities longer and be healthy, they must be properly cared for. And for this you need to know the characteristics of each plant and the requirements for living conditions. What are the basic conditions for keeping plants indoors?(watering, soil, light, heat).

5. Practical work – 15 min. Now I propose to feel like phytodesigners. You need, using magazines and books about indoor plants, to select plants for interior decoration in the library, taking into account the conditions for keeping the plants. 15 minutes are allotted for work.

6. Summing up the lessons, reflection of educational activities – 5 min. We learned a lot during the lesson, do you think we achieved our goal? Students' reasoning and conclusion.

Look at the self-assessment sheets and evaluate your work in class using the maple leaves. Red - everything is done correctly, yellow - there are some minor flaws, green - you still need to work on the topic. Show me your leaves.

When assessing the work of schoolchildren in the lesson, note the best results and, together with them, draw conclusions on the material studied.

Now continue the sentence.

    What I liked most about the lesson was…..

    I managed to find out...

    I would like to advise myself to read…..

7. Homework – 2 min.

Make a presentation of indoor plants used for the interior of a school library. "Interior Decoration"

Properly selected indoor plants are a beautiful and elegant element of apartment decoration. They not only create an atmosphere of warmth, comfort and harmony in the room, but also maintain optimal humidity and healthy oxygen balance. Both natural and artificial flowers can completely transform any room if you choose them wisely and tastefully.

The art of interior design using plants

To make indoor flowers look harmonious and served as decoration for the room, when choosing them you must be guided by the following rules:

  • All plants must be provided with proper care - timely replanting, watering, pruning, etc. Nothing spoils the interior of an apartment more than stunted, dying flowers on the windowsill.
  • Choose flowers wisely - for example, if the windows in the room face south, shade-loving plants will not take root in it. And on northern windows or walls it will be very uncomfortable for lovers of bright sunlight.
  • Try to choose species that will serve as decoration all year round.

It would be useful to take into account such a nuance as flowering time:

  • orchids, begonias, azaleas and cyclamens bloom in winter;
  • in spring - Kalanchoe, Campanula, Eucharis and Gloxinia;
  • in summer - pelargonium, agapanthus, wax ivy;
  • in autumn - calla, Indian azalea, violet and chrysanthemum.

Often Deciduous plants are used in the interior- for example, myrtle, sansevieria, fatsia, laurel or cyperus. They complement the design favorably and create a special atmosphere of comfort in the room, but only if they have an original leaf shape and an elegant silhouette. And by placing hanging plants in beautiful vases on the wall, you can achieve a truly magnificent effect. Options for such an interior can be seen in the photo.

The most popular indoor flowers

At the present time the design of the premises may include the most diverse plants. Among the flowering specimens, the phalaenopsis orchid is especially loved - its gorgeous flowers fit harmoniously into almost any interior and invariably delight the eyes of both residents and guests of the apartment. Anthuriums, violets and hippeastrums are considered no less popular. And decorative lovers often choose various palm trees and ficuses.

Artificial plants in room design

A significant advantage of artificial flowers is the fact that they do not need care and always look beautiful. They do not require any specific conditions of maintenance, so such flowers can be placed anywhere in the apartment - even on the wall, even on the bedside table. That is why many people prefer to decorate their premises with artificial plants.

A couple of decades ago, artificial flowers in the interior were considered vulgar and bad taste, since they were made in simple forms and using the cheapest materials. And their unnaturally bright colors made the situation even worse.

Nowadays, manufacturers of artificial flowers have learned to make them from high-quality material using the latest technologies. Therefore, artificial plants have become very similar to real ones, they are beautiful, diverse and practically indistinguishable in appearance from real ones. However, even taking all this into account, their choice also needs to be approached wisely, since artificial flowers will not fit harmoniously into every interior.

The main advantage of artificial plants is that they require virtually no maintenance - in order to preserve the beauty of the flower, you just need to wipe it from dust in time and keep it away from sunlight, since artificial plants tend to fade in the sun.

How to choose fresh flowers

When choosing plants for decoration When designing a room, one must not forget that every flower needs appropriate care. For example, orchids, violets and anthuriums love diffused light and should not be placed on south-facing windows. But the western window will appeal to these plants. Shade-loving flowers should be placed at some distance from the windows, and the eastern side is quite suitable for light-loving flowers. Succulents are mostly unpretentious, and they will suit almost any placement - be it in the south or in the west. However, during particularly hot sun hours, any plants should be shaded from direct sunlight.

Need to understand that even the most unpretentious and shade-loving plant cannot survive without light at all, so if the room has only one window facing north, it is better to either choose artificial flowers or abandon them altogether.

interior with plants

Goal: Find out which plants are suitable for the interior, and how they affect humans. Tasks: 1. Find out what colors you can decorate the interior with. 2. Understand how indoor plants affect the microclimate of the room. 3. Develop concepts about the basic principles of interior design with plants.

All plants are different in nature. One of the most important activities is watering. Its purity and quantity of water depend on many factors: Type of plant. Development phases (during the growth period the plant needs more watering than during the dormant period). Seasons (in summer - abundantly, in winter - less). For watering the plants, take water that has settled (at least 24 hours).

Seasons of the year and the life of indoor plants The ratio of the length of day and night is of great importance in the life of indoor plants. Summer is the most favorable period for plant life. Long bright days and short warm nights, plenty of sunlight and warmth provide plants with good growth and flowering. Autumn. September marks a critical period in the life of indoor plants - the end of the growth period and the transition to a state of dormancy. Winter. In November, winter begins for indoor plants. This most unfavorable period for them is characterized by short, often cloudy days and long, warm nights. Plants suffer from a lack of light combined with excess heat. Spring. In March, real spring comes for indoor plants. Long, bright and warm days are favorable for growth and flowering.

Varieties of indoor plants The requirements of plants for environmental conditions are not the same. Some need a lot of heat (most tropical plants), others less (subtropical); For some, a small amount of light is enough (shade-tolerant), while many are demanding of it (light-loving plants). According to the degree of illumination, all plants can be divided into three groups: light-loving, shade-tolerant, shade-loving. Shade-tolerant plants are most often used for landscaping homes. To liven up a boring interior, you should not place nondescript evergreens and ordinary flowering plants throughout the room; it is better to create several green islands, each of which is attractive in itself. At the same time, you can change the overall appearance of the room: high ceilings will appear lower if you hang a basket with hanging plants, and low ceilings will appear higher if you place a large, tall plant.

Plants in the house The functional purpose of the interior influences the choice of plants for its landscaping. The main thing is that the plant fits the interior, pleases its owner and feels good in the given room. Poisonous, prickly and allergenic plants should not be used for landscaping the nursery. All flowers should be easy to care for, have an interesting shape, bright color, evoking a cheerful mood in the child. They need to be placed so that children cannot knock them over. The whole family gathers in the living room and guests arrive. Therefore, you can place the most beautiful plants in the living room. Depending on the size of the room, large plants (ficus, dracaena) or small tabletop compositions are used. In the bedroom, plants with soft, smooth contours, openwork foliage (adiantum, tiny ficus), and delicately colored flowers (begonias, saintpaulias) are desirable.

In the office it is better to use discreet, decorative leafy forms of plants, such as ficuses, philodendrons, dieffenbachias, etc. Green color is neutral and helps to concentrate and get into a business mood. Heat-loving plants will feel good in the kitchen: ivy, tradescantia, begonias, chlorophytum, ferns and ficus. Ornamental fruit plants (lemon, muraya) are perfect for the kitchen. But the plants must be placed so that they are not exposed to cold air from an open window. Some types of ferns, orchids and other plants native to the humid and hot tropics are suitable for decorating a bathroom, provided that they are provided with suitable lighting and the plants are not exposed to water and soap. When decorating an entrance hall, vestibule, or hall, it is important that plants do not occupy the passage. Considering the difficult environmental conditions in these rooms, plants must be very stable, shade-tolerant, and easily and quickly restore their decorative properties (easily cleaned from dust, etc.). Plants with large leaves look great here - philodendrons, ficus lyre or bengal.

Interior color climate All colors have a certain influence on the emotional atmosphere in the house. The surrounding colors have a psychological and physical effect on a person. The psychological impact is associated with the individual ability of the brain to process visual information and respond to it. Color affects the physiological functions of a person almost automatically (the rhythm of the pulse and breathing changes), and basically the same for all people.

Red - has a stimulating effect of an active, obsessive, compulsory nature. Green - neutral, soft, calming. The long-term effect of color does not tire and causes, although not strong, but a steady increase in performance. Yellow - gives the impression of sunlight. The color is active, revitalizing, invigorating, helps create a good mood and increases performance. Blue is cold, calm, passive, under its influence the activity of life processes decreases, breathing and pulse are regulated. Efficiency decreases. White is cold, calm, creates the impression of modesty and simplicity. The combination of white and green simply saturates the brain with a feeling of freshness. Purple is among the most passive. Its impact leads to a weakening and slowing down of life processes, a decrease in activity, and a feeling of depression with a tinge of some anxiety, as if hidden excitement.

House style and flowers, matching colors to the style of the house Just as people have individuality, their homes are also unique. According to research from the Society of American Florists, the most popular home decorating trends fall into five categories. Below are a number of examples of how flowers can highlight the style of a home. Classic-traditional. Classic style floral arrangements are a mixture of flowers (roses, gladioli, irises, carnations, lilies, snapdragons) with accents such as dried fruits and foliage. Crystal, copper, silver, porcelain vessels are ideal for creating a classic floral composition center.

Modern style. Modern home decor features clean lines, soft surfaces and shapes. Elegant fabrics, colorful silks, exotic flowers (anthuriums, heliconias, callas, orchids) with pronounced lines fit well with the cleanliness and openness of this home. Victorian style. Scented flowers (roses, peonies, lavender, gardenia, freesia) in pale colors: lavender, pink, yellow and cream will support the image of romance and sensuality. All these delicious colors shine in sweet, romantic vases made of clear glass, crystal and silver. Casual unobtrusive style. The casual lifestyle focuses primarily on its simple pleasures. The decor includes light pine furniture with a natural wood texture, complemented by linen and cotton fabrics in neutral tones. Flowering and herbaceous plants (such as cyclamen, kalanchoe, ivy) randomly grouped in a basket, or flowers (such as sunflower, gardenia, delphinium or tulips) placed in a clean glass vase, pitcher or clay pot work well.

Provincial style. Provincial style, as such, has become a real phenomenon. His motifs include signature pieces such as quilts, metal vessels, etc. (wild rose, scabiosa, heather) perfect for decorating a coffee table or kitchen table. wooden boxes.

About phytodesign We spend a lot of time indoors, at home or at work. Therefore, in order to bring a piece of nature into the house, to add liveliness and harmony to the interior, people came up with the idea of growing flowers at home! Plants emphasize the individuality of a well and tastefully decorated interior, tell about the character of the owners of the house, making the design of the room even more interesting and beautiful. You can create a wide variety of compositions from indoor plants - from tabletop miniatures to large-sized winter gardens. Certain composition models are suitable for different types of interiors. It can be a single plant, a container with plants (indoor garden), a composition of potted plants, a hanging planter, a green wall and much more. These features are associated with the architectural layout of buildings, the design and functional purpose of the premises. The variety of types of indoor plants allows you to create a harmonious single ensemble with any interior style.

You can create an undying summer in your home with the help of dried flowers. Flowers decorate our lives. Flowers contain our feelings, emotions, mood. And it is not at all necessary that they are just cut roses or daisies. No less aesthetic pleasure is given to us by bouquets and compositions of dried flowers, lush herbs or ears of grain. Design with dried flowers allows you not only to prolong, but also to maintain the charm of warm sunny days.

Conclusion Based on this project, we can conclude that indoor plants play a big role in the interior of any apartment. Flowers are one of the important elements of apartment decoration. Their beauty and charm are perceived in reciprocity with the entire interior and are selected according to the laws of arrangement. Plants in an apartment create a certain environment that is favorable for the owners of the apartment. Most plants are chosen according to the interior of the apartment. Each plant needs a certain atmosphere and the necessary care for its growth. Plants also purify the air in apartments, thereby having a good effect on the health of the owners of this apartment.

Almost no home is complete without indoor plants. Even those who do not have enough time to care for them are happy to place an unpretentious cactus on their computer desk. Plants can create a bright atmosphere in a room with their mere presence, adding comfort and a sense of living nature. This is especially true for residents of a metropolis, when in concrete boxes you are suffocating from the lack of fresh air and confined space.

But in pursuit of oxygen, you shouldn’t fill the premises with plants to capacity. Poor thought in design brings chaos and confusion to the overall concept of the interior. It is best to give preference to one or more plants that will fit correctly in the place intended for them. Knowing the basic rules of interior design, you can easily achieve a stylish and harmonious design.

The main thing is to take into account the fact that plants are living decorative items, so they require care.

Beautiful plants and flowers in the hall are an indicator of a reverent attitude towards the house. A spacious and well-lit hallway provides endless possibilities for phytodesign. Large plants in massive pots look great in a large space. Ficus trees with their huge glossy leaves will be the final touch to decorating a retro-style hallway. Plants such as dracaena, bottle tree, yucca or ficus benjamina are suitable for classic and modern interiors. You can decorate it with figuratively trimmed boxwood or all kinds of palm trees.

Don't despair if the hall is small or dark. It can be decorated with a composition of unpretentious potted flowers or shade-loving specimens. The most suitable options: aspidistra (a small plant with attractive large leaves), sansevieria (a compact plant with leaves tightly pressed together) and asplenium (a representative of ferns). If there are niches in the hallway, place low-growing bonsai-style trees in them.

Ordinary ivy looks very unusual in the hall. It can be placed on a high shelf, with descending shoots entwined around a mirror or photo frames.

The main thing is not to forget to periodically expose the plants to the sun, otherwise even the most unpretentious options will quickly die.

Due to the fact that the living room is the largest room in the house, absolutely any plants can be placed here. Pots are placed according to the standard pattern: shade-loving ones - in the corners and away from windows, light-loving ones - closer to sources of natural light. Large plants are in trend now. Especially if they bear fruit.

The interior can be enlivened by olive and coffee trees, kumquats, lemon and orange trees, and even a banana, which can bloom for several months.

Large plants can fit into almost any design: in a classic style with heavy furniture and pretentious drapery, and in a high-tech or minimalist style. Pots and tubs decorated in the chosen style will help enhance the effect. Massive flowerpots are suitable for classics, while minimalism is characterized by laconic flowerpots with clear and even hard lines. Decorate your seating area by placing identical pots with identical plants on both sides of the sofa.

Or create a unique composition by selecting pots from the same series, but of different sizes. You can use the technique of zoning space, because identical tubs with tall plants can replace a screen. Place them in a row to delimit functional areas.

If the living room is small, it can be visually enlarged with the help of climbing plants that will fall from hanging plant pots or high shelves.

Be sure to provide the possibility of attaching young shoots, otherwise one day you risk getting an impenetrable jungle. To create a light and natural interior, use small compositions. Avoid bright, flashy colors. Plants with large and wide leaves look great in spacious living rooms.

Consider the fact that in plain pots, bright, colorful specimens look most attractive. Modern versions of flowerpots and tubs are equipped with discreet wheels for easy movement of heavy plants.

Plants in the bedroom interior

Perhaps the bedroom is the most controversial room for placing flowers in it. It places restrictions on the use of plants with strong aroma, which can cause insomnia and headaches. It is highly undesirable to place lilies and ferns in the bedroom, because they absorb oxygen and release carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. This is usually the second largest room after the living room, so floor-type plants in stylish pots look good here. Flowers in pots are suitable for country style: violets or miniature roses. If the bedroom is decorated in a style with an abundance of wicker furniture, then jasmine and decorative bindweed will look good in it.

Kalanchoe and aloe are suitable for creating a microclimate. Their system is designed in such a way that at night they release oxygen abundantly. Blooming orchids in plastic pots are gradually going out of fashion. They are being replaced by florariums - this is a kind of mini-garden behind glass, like an aquarium. They look incredibly stylish both on shelves and on a nightstand or dressing table.

This is also an excellent solution for owners of a small bedroom. The main inhabitants of the florarium are low-growing plants and succulents, which are characterized by slow growth and prefer a warm and humid environment.

Another trend in bedroom decor is aromatherapy using essential greens. To fill the room with a pleasant smell, plant mint, myrtle, oleander or tea tree in pots. Lavender is an iconic plant whose aroma helps fight insomnia and stress.

If you need to create a focal point or accent in the interior, place a single plant that will attract attention from the threshold. For these purposes, shelves with well-chosen colors are also used. This design can enliven both the boring space around it and the room as a whole. A plant at a focal point can distract attention from poorly chosen objects and brighten up an unprofessional design. To do this, use attractive specimens with a lush crown, pretty flowers, interesting shapes or unusual leaves.

Plants in the kitchen interior

The kitchen is the most active and trafficked place in the house. That is why outdoor plants are rarely placed here. Since almost all surfaces in the kitchen are functional, one of the most common places for flowers is the windowsill.

For designs in country or Provence style, unpretentious geranium is suitable, which, thanks to the abundance of colors, can be combined with almost any shade of the interior. If, or, then it is simply impossible to find a better decorative element than a cactus. Many of their varieties have an almost perfect round shape, which looks especially advantageous in a white square pot.

Fans of eco-design will be delighted with the idea of creating a mini-vegetable garden on the windowsill. Thanks to the warmth and humidity, the kitchen becomes an ideal place for the germination of all kinds of greens. Onions, watercress, lemon balm, dill, mustard, parsley and mint are best suited for these purposes. Basil, rosemary, thyme and cilantro are more difficult to grow.

In order to set up a mini-vegetable garden in your kitchen, you don’t have to look for seeds in all the garden stores. Modern supermarkets sell pots of already grown greens. Decorate them with hand-made signs with the names of each plant. For lovers of originality and advanced inventions, designers have created miniature greenhouses that are equipped with automatic watering and lighting.

Unpretentious chlorophytum will help rid the kitchen of harmful fumes. A plant called “pike tail” works in the same way - it is known for its ability to purify the air of foreign odors. If there is no place for a flower on the windowsill, choose a shade-loving option that is ideal for decorating a free corner. Avoid placing plants in close proximity to a stove or sink because heat and splashes from dishwashing detergent are not safe for delicate leaves.

The bathroom is a place of solitude where we usually spend time with our loved ones. And of course, beautiful green plants come in handy here to create a pleasant, relaxing atmosphere! However, it is rare to find such decor in small bathrooms. The small space does not allow for large plants to be placed in the bathroom. But if you wish, you can still find a way out of this situation and pick up small plants, placing them in the corners of the bathroom or plant climbing ivy along the wall.

With the right approach, plants can transform any interior. The main thing is to take care of them and love them, then your little home garden will delight you more and more.

Plants - phytodesign is a real art. And with the help of this art you can transform any room, filling it with green plants, blooming flowers, fresh and fragrant clean air.

From the Greek “phyto” is translated as nothing more than a plant, and what better way to make a home cozy, comfortable, and create a pleasant atmosphere in it than well-composed flower arrangements? Today in our article we will look at how to create the right phytodesign of an interior, how to competently use all the capabilities of plants for the benefit of the home.

So, let's expand our knowledge about phytodesign and learn about all its possibilities.

Undoubtedly, each blade of grass, each plant requires a special approach and attention, there are plants that cannot grow in indoor conditions, these include, for example, selaginella, it can live exclusively in conditions with high humidity, in a house or apartment it can survive only in a florarium specially built for her, in a special glass vessel.

If the windows of your room face the south side, and the windows are completely flooded with sunlight, plants from the southern tropics, where the sun shines all year round - hibiscus, abutilon, agave - will feel great in such rooms.

They love warmth, but on hot summer days they still need to be protected from direct sunlight. Windows facing east and west are an excellent option for any plants, and where the windows face north, you can grow fern plants, as well as dracaenas and ficuses.

Type and style of the room - influence on phytodesign?

Phytointerior design is not a simple art. When decorating the interior, it is necessary to take into account many indicators - the style of the room, its size, and type.

An apartment or house decorated in a traditional style is well decorated with large-sized plants with round leaves, for example, palm trees. Plants whose leaves have a regular geometric shape will look harmonious, such as cylindrical or spherical cacti - ceropegia, repsalis. The minimalist interior is emphasized by strict plants like phalaenopsis.

When selecting plants for rooms, professional phytodesigners also take into account the size of these rooms. The more rooms, the larger the plants, the larger the leaves. But for small rooms you will have to choose plants more carefully, carefully, and carefully. But, if you really want to have a large bush or tree in your interior, and the room is small, you will have to limit yourself to one large specimen, for example, such as a sago palm, ficus, howea or monstera.

An important indicator in phytodesignroom type:

Living room

Yes, for each type of room, different plants are appropriate: in the living room it is better to put tall plants; in addition to being beautiful, tall plants also perform a practical function - tall flowers can divide the room into functional zones - a tall, spreading Benjamin ficus or lush cheflers will do an excellent job with this task.

If the living room is small, you can install plants at different levels - from the floor to the ceiling - it looks very beautiful, and most importantly, it creates the feeling of a room completely filled with greenery, but still spacious and airy, without clutter.

Bedroom

In the bedroom, it is best to limit yourself to installing a couple of plants; be sure to choose flowers that do not have strong pungent odors, like citrus fruits or jasmine, otherwise strong, rich aromas will not allow you to fully relax, and even contribute to headaches.

In a traditional bedroom, made in a classic style, plants with large leaves will look beautiful and appropriate - the same ficus, spathiphyllum.

If you want to add a little romance, phytointerior design will help you with this. Place Saintpaulia in beautiful pots on the dressing table or windowsill - and the romantic setting is ready. If you want to make your bedroom a little exotic, add beautiful luxurious orchids to the interior. And it would be appropriate and correct to decorate a bedroom made in a modern style with beautiful, but strict flowers - ceropegia, repsalis or sansevieria.

Cabinet

A work office cannot do without flowers, but you should also choose “your own” flowers for it - suitable for creating an atmosphere of fruitful work, for creating creative activity. Decorative foliage plants are suitable for this.

Kitchen

As for the kitchen, almost all plants love this room - after all, it is here that it is warm and humid, conditions that suit most plants well. This is a place for heat-loving plants - tradescantia, chlorophytum, akalifa, ivy, peperomia.

The kitchen is an excellent place to grow succulents - a variety of cacti and aloe. But, the most interesting solution for the kitchen space is a small vegetable garden, organized on the windowsill with spicy or even medicinal herbs - mint, rosemary, lavender, sprouted onions and other herbs.

Children's

Professional designers recommend choosing non-poisonous plants for decoration; this is mandatory, since children can touch plants, put their hands in their mouths, rub their eyes - the poison can get on the mucous membranes and cause poisoning and irritation. Plants with thorns are inappropriate in a children's room. In a girl's children's room, flowering plants will look beautiful and appropriate - decorative roses, violets, azaleas, although no - azalea will not do. This flower is classified as poisonous. It is worth remembering this when choosing this or that flower for the children's room.

Decorative foliage plants will harmoniously fit into a boy’s room; succulents, for example, crassula, aloe, and haworthia, will look good.

Indoor plants in a children's room are not only beautiful, indoor plants will teach your children to appreciate beauty and take care of them.

From childhood, let the child take part in planting indoor plants and caring for them.

Bathroom

As a rule, phytodesigners do not recommend placing plants in bathrooms and hallways, and all because there is very, very little light in these rooms, and in the bathroom, among other things, there are frequent temperature changes and moisture changes.

But, if this is a bathroom in a large house or a hallway where there are spacious, bright windows, then this is a completely different option - a landscaping solution can be found. Tropical plants that love humidity - orchids, ficus, ferns, pogonatherums - will take root in a bright bathroom with a window.

When placing flower pots in the bathroom, try to place them away from the bath itself so that soap splashes and hot water do not get on the leaves, because this can negatively affect the plant itself.

Hallway

Only unpretentious plants will be able to survive and come to terms with living conditions in hallways. Such plants do not require a lot of light, because there is little of it in the hallway of an ordinary house or apartment. Such green “heroes” include cissus, zamioculcas or aspidistra. But, if you really want to decorate your room with green spaces, but there is no opportunity for this, you can successfully enliven it with fashionable and stylish compositions from dried flowers, artificial flowers, which are made so skillfully that it is simply impossible to distinguish them from real living ones.

Decoration and Arrangement

Speaking about phyto-interior design, one cannot fail to mention one of the main, interesting areas - phyto-arrangement. Each country has its own traditions and tastes for making bouquets and compositions from various plants. It is no coincidence that professional phytodesigners highlight national types of plant compositions.

Do you know, for example, that in France leaves are always used in arrangements? And in Italy, fruits are obligatory participants in arrangements. The British make flower arrangements in the form of classic triangles.

Today, phytodesigners name two main directions in phytodesign:

  • decorative direction;
  • vegetative.

The vegetative direction is phytodesign in the interior, when all its components are arranged asymmetrically, thus, designers imitate a natural style. A necessary condition for creating such compositions is the combination of plants from the same climate zone in the composition.

The decorative direction in phytodesign of the interior is the opposite, all elements of the compositions are arranged symmetrically, very solemnly and elegantly. And the main thing in this direction is that everything should not be the same as in the natural environment. To achieve this, the compositions use a huge number of different additional parts and elements made from a variety of materials:

  • wood;
  • metal;
  • paper;
  • glass;
  • wax;
  • fabrics;
  • and other interesting materials.

There is another classification in arrangements. And this classification concerns the form of compositions; depending on the form, phytocopositions are:

  • massive;
  • linear;
  • parallel.

Massive forms appeared during the Renaissance in Europe. As a rule, compositions of this type are made by designers in the form of a circle, triangle, sickle, or oval.

Their main characteristic comes from the name - they are very massive, in such compositions the gaze should not stop at one thing, at any individual element - it seems to glide from one decorative element to another.

Linear forms - originate in the East. Characteristic features of linear forms are the laconic use of plant material, emphasis on lines, both falling and upward. In linear compositions, every element is important, and you can safely play with color contrasts.

In parallel compositions, everything is arranged in parallel. Moreover, every detail and every element of the arrangement must have its own point of growth.

Compositions from dried flowers

Modern phyto-interior design is impossible without compositions of dried flowers. Modern methods of preserving plant components make it possible to preserve even such delicate and fragile flowers as lilies, roses and others. To create dry compositions, tree branches and shrubs with fruits, aquatic plant species and cereals, cones, nuts, mosses, stones and even shells are used. And the basis for such compositions are materials such as tree bark and straw wickers, paper and polystyrene foam, pumice and plasticine, shell rock and other materials.

The most important advantage of dry compositions is their long service life. The main thing is that the compositions do not lose their color, and for this it is necessary to place them away from direct sunlight. Yes, over time, a layer of dust settles on dried flowers, which is not very easy to remove. But today the chemical industry offers special antistatic sprays that help repel dust; you can brush dust off dry compositions with feather brooms.

Flat dried flowers are ideal for creating original natural collages; such collages are complemented with paper, leather, and fabric.

Grouping plants

Enormous scope for flight of imagination and creativity is provided by the creation of group compositions of their plants in pots. Especially when we are not talking about the specialized placement of these plants in greenhouses or winter gardens, but in ordinary premises, in apartments and houses. The most popular and sought-after phytodesign options in the interior are small rock gardens, water gardens, vertical flower arrangements, mini-greenhouses, epiphytic trees and other potted groups.

As for potted flower groups, they are classified according to color and visibility, as well as the location of the plant in the composition - vertical or horizontal.

1. As for the color scheme, the group can be monochrome, in which shades and tones of the same color are combined and harmoniously combined, or contrasting. The group can be organized symmetrically or composed in a natural, natural way.

2. A not so familiar to us, but increasingly popular way of creating plant compositions is planting different plants in one pot. Such compositions have a wide variety of sizes and can be very small, consisting of two or three plants, or huge, with a large number of plants used in one container.

The main condition in creating such unified compositions, whether large or small, is that the plants must have the same needs for water and lighting. As for the size of plants, they can be either the same height or multi-tiered.

Such flower arrangements can be placed both in the most ordinary pots and in special containers or in decorative hanging pots or baskets.

There is a disadvantage to placing plants in one container - they can become infected with various diseases or be affected by pests, and all the plants together.

Moreover, their care and growth control will require especially careful attention - this is necessary so that the integral composition is not disturbed.

Phytointerior design using pot groups, where all the plants are planted in different pots or baskets very mobile, and this is its main characteristic. When planting plants this way, they are easier to care for, and you can pay more attention to each plant.

Where to place and how to place?

Group potted compositions can be placed along the wall or near the window, however, this arrangement has one small drawback - it creates the impression of one-sidedness. If the area of the room allows, and there are no problems with lighting, you can make the phytodesign of the interior much more interesting - make a circular overview of the compositions.

In small apartments it is very convenient to place plants vertically - to create so-called vertical compositions. However, they may be different. Placed on multi-level stands, in a certain order in wall planters and baskets, in ordinary pots, but installed in unusual supports that entwine climbing plants. Today, mini-rock gardens, mini-greenhouses, water gardens, and “epiphytic trees” are very popular and in demand.

Mini greenhouse

What is a mini-greenhouse? This is a small garden placed in a glass or plastic transparent vessel of various shapes - simple and complex. A special microclimate is created inside such vessels - humid and draft-free, which is ideal for especially delicate plants. But you should not place plants that grow quickly in such vessels - it is very difficult to care for them in these glass “boxes”.

Mini rock garden

A mini rock garden is a garden growing on rocks. At the same time, to create such a composition you can use not only stones, not only material of any porous structure, but also the most unexpected materials for the base. The most important thing in these foundations is to make the holes for the roots as deep as possible, and it is desirable that they are connected to each other.

Water garden

This is the most unusual and most original garden in phyto-interior design. It is placed in an aquarium. populated by different plants in several tiers. In this case, part of the plants will be immersed in water, and the other part will “surface” to the surface. Marsh plants are planted in shallow water. By the way, if you are planning such a garden, know that snails act well as its orderlies.

"Epiphytic" tree

This is an unusual composition in phyto-interior design. It is especially loved and popular among connoisseurs of exotic and tropical vegetation. An epiphytic tree is constructed simply - a snag is strengthened in a container, at the foot of which climbing and ground cover plants are planted.

Even on the snag itself, special holes or hollows are hollowed out, into which hanging plants, ferns, and orchids are planted.

"Blooming" pot

A simple and effective method of creating a group composition is a “blooming” pot. When creating such a composition, a vessel with water is placed in a container with ornamental plants planted in pots, and beautiful cut flowers are placed in it. Instead of flowers, twigs with bright berries will fit perfectly into such a composition; most importantly, such a composition should have bright color accents.
